Connect The Buying Journey To The Work Behind It

ERP hub connected to customer, commerce, warehouse and reporting systems, with an exception inbox

A successful storefront needs more than a polished product page. Buyers need the right assortment, understandable prices and a dependable checkout. The teams behind the store need to know what was ordered, which system owns inventory and what to do when a payment or interface fails.

Macrofix plans Commerce Cloud projects around that complete journey. Salesforce now uses the Agentforce Commerce name, while Commerce Cloud remains in documentation and customer terminology. We confirm the actual products and architecture in scope; a portfolio name does not make every AI, payment or order-management capability part of your subscription.

Commerce Cloud Services From Product Fit to Launch

Choose a focused commerce assessment, a new storefront implementation or an improvement project. We define buyer journeys, data ownership, platform dependencies and acceptance criteria before building. B2B account requirements and B2C shopper requirements are assessed separately, with an agreed first release and a roadmap for later capabilities.

B2B and B2C Commerce Strategy

Map your business model, markets, buyer types, sales channels and existing applications. For B2B, assess account relationships, permitted assortments and agreed commercial rules. For B2C, assess shopper journeys, brands, localization and merchandising needs. The selected product, storefront approach and license terms must support the actual use cases.

We evaluate standard capabilities and justified custom work before choosing the build. Salesforce B2C architecture guidance describes storefront environments and data feeds; B2B has its own implementation context. They are not treated as interchangeable deployment plans.

Catalog, Pricing and Merchandising Data

Prepare products, variants, categories, attributes, images and agreed pricing information for the selected storefront. Identify source systems and ownership, then map identifiers and validate sample records before importing at scale. Review incomplete descriptions, inconsistent units, missing images and duplicate identifiers.

Merchants approve assortment, promotion and price behavior. We document locale, currency and content requirements as applicable, with import validation and reconciliation. Product data changes need a repeatable operating process, not a one-time spreadsheet upload that nobody can maintain.

Storefront Experience and Checkout

Design navigation, product discovery, product detail, cart and checkout around the agreed buyer journeys. Configure selected components and extend them where justified. Define form validation, pricing presentation, delivery choices, order confirmation and understandable failure messages.

Payment, tax and shipping services are assessed with their providers and the customer-owned rules. Test approved sandbox scenarios before release, including declined or unavailable services and repeat submissions. Optional checkout capabilities and third-party fees are not assumed included; we do not collect real card details or place live orders during implementation testing without separate authorization.

ERP, Inventory and Order Handoffs

Define selected exchanges with ERP, inventory, product-information, fulfillment, CRM or order-management systems. Map product and customer identifiers, order references, state transitions, refresh expectations and the source of truth for each field. Agree how failed or repeated requests are detected and reconciled.

Salesforce documents B2B Commerce APIs for tasks including cart, checkout, pricing and order summaries. We assess supported interfaces and current connections before designing custom work. An available API is not proof that a complete end-to-end integration exists or that every update is instantaneous.

Commerce Testing and Merchant Enablement

Validate browsing, catalog visibility, pricing, cart, checkout and downstream order handling with representative buyers and controlled examples. Include unavailable inventory, invalid addresses, declined test payments, interrupted services and repeated requests. Agree which performance, device and accessibility checks belong in scope and what evidence is needed.

Train merchants and administrators on selected content, catalog, promotion and operational tasks. Handover includes interface ownership, exception queues, release checks and a prioritized improvement backlog. Conversion rate and revenue depend on more than configuration, so results are measured rather than guaranteed.

Agree Your Commerce Cloud Delivery Blueprint

Prepare a commerce blueprint covering the buyer model, storefront approach, catalog and pricing data, checkout providers, order lifecycle, connected systems and release responsibilities. Record product and license dependencies, exclusions, test scenarios and customer approvals. A reviewable first release reduces uncertainty while leaving a clear expansion roadmap.

Control Customer Data, Integrations and Release Decisions

Define the customer and business data each component or interface needs, and who can access or change it. Agree authentication, credential ownership, provider responsibilities and operational monitoring with authorized teams. Test-data choices should avoid exposing real customer or payment information unnecessarily.

Your organization approves pricing, commercial policies, tax rules, providers and production activation. Optional AI, analytics, payments, order management and point-of-sale capabilities require separate entitlement and fit checks. This implementation service does not certify compliance or guarantee fraud prevention, revenue or uninterrupted trading.

How We Deliver Your Commerce Cloud Project

Discover buyer journeys and operations, agree platform and data decisions, then build selected storefront and checkout capabilities in reviewable increments. Rehearse product feeds and order handoffs, test normal and exception paths, and prepare merchants. Complete readiness and cutover reviews before customer-approved launch; ongoing support can be scoped separately.

Validate The Order Journey and Its Exceptions

Acceptance should follow a controlled order from product selection through the agreed downstream systems. Check expected price and assortment, cart updates, provider responses, confirmation, order state and reconciliation. Include duplicate submissions, unavailable stock and interface outages. Document unresolved issues and named release owners instead of treating a successful visual preview as trading readiness.

Salesforce Commerce Cloud FAQs

Salesforce now uses the Agentforce Commerce name and notes that Commerce Cloud terminology remains in applications and documentation. We keep the familiar Commerce Cloud wording here while confirming the exact product, storefront approach, subscriptions and optional capabilities in your project. A name change does not mean every AI feature is included.

Yes. We assess B2B buyer accounts, assortments and commercial rules separately from B2C shopper, brand and merchandising requirements. The products, architecture and delivery plan follow the use cases rather than assuming that B2B and B2C implementations are interchangeable.

An agreed scope can cover platform fit, storefront journeys, product-data mapping, catalog and pricing setup, selected checkout services, ERP and order handoffs, testing, merchant training and cutover planning. Products, providers, subscriptions, custom work and acceptance criteria are confirmed before building.

We can assess selected product, customer, inventory and order exchanges with existing business applications. We define identifiers, field ownership, state transitions, refresh expectations, error handling and reconciliation. Supported interfaces, API limits and additional subscription or development dependencies are reviewed before implementation.

No. The chosen commerce products, contract, service providers and enabled capabilities determine what is available and what carries extra requirements or cost. Your organization owns commercial and tax policies. We review optional services and AI separately and do not promise certification, fraud prevention or trading results.

We agree controlled sandbox orders and provider test scenarios, including cart changes, expected prices, declined test payments, unavailable inventory, duplicate requests and interface outages. We reconcile order handoffs and document findings, ownership and cutover decisions. Real payment details or live orders require separate authorization.
