A won opportunity should not become a guessing game for operations. Macrofix designs Salesforce ERP integrations around agreed customer and product data, sales-to-order handoffs, status visibility and exception ownership, with tested mappings and reconciliation before go-live.
Sales teams work in Salesforce while finance, inventory and fulfillment often depend on an ERP. Connecting them requires more than moving fields: both sides need agreed identifiers, ownership rules, transaction states and a plan for rejected or delayed work.
We assess integrations involving SAP, NetSuite, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics and Oracle against the actual editions, APIs and modules in use. For the existing product-specific option, see our Odoo Salesforce connector. A one-time data migration or a Data Cloud foundation is a different scope from ongoing ERP transaction handoffs.
Start with the business process and interface boundaries. We identify the authoritative system for each agreed data domain, map the required handoffs and evaluate connector, middleware or API options. The proposal names both Salesforce and ERP responsibilities, dependencies, licenses and acceptance evidence rather than promising universal real-time synchronization.
Review the Salesforce org, ERP deployment, existing integration tooling and process owners. Decide which workflows need replication, which need a transaction handoff and which only require external data visibility.
Timing, volume, direction, source of truth, exception handling and maintenance ownership shape the design. Salesforce describes these decisions in its data integration decision guide; the selected approach must also fit your ERP capabilities.
Define how Salesforce accounts, contacts and products relate to ERP customer, address, item and reference records where included. Agree identifiers, field ownership, value translations, required information and conflict decisions.
Not every field should synchronize in both directions. Pricing, tax, currency, subsidiary and inventory meanings require business-owner review before their values are copied or displayed across systems.
Design the agreed transition from a qualified sales event to an ERP order or another operational request. Specify the prerequisites, approval state, line details, response and the references users need to track progress.
For included status flows, decide how order acceptance, fulfillment or invoice visibility returns to Salesforce. An ERP rejection must remain visible; a successful API response alone does not prove that the business transaction completed.
Define how an interface distinguishes new work from retries, identifies duplicate submissions and handles partial outcomes. Set responsibilities for exception queues, alerting, investigation and approved replay, with enough context to trace the related records without exposing unnecessary sensitive data.
Reconcile the agreed record counts, identifiers, values and business states. Unresolved mismatches need an owner and next action rather than being hidden by a last-sync timestamp.
Test mapped data and handoff behavior in suitable authorized environments. Cover successful processing, rejected values, duplicates, delayed responses, unavailable endpoints and recovery scenarios relevant to the design.
Agree initial data preparation, cutover sequencing and change windows before enabling production interfaces. Handover includes the supported mappings, operating instructions, monitoring responsibilities and escalation boundaries; ongoing support is scoped separately.
The blueprint records the systems, objects, process states and interfaces in scope. It names authoritative data owners, transformation rules, timing, dependencies and acceptance cases, including what is intentionally excluded.
Salesforce distinguishes request/reply, asynchronous and batch approaches in its integration patterns overview. We choose the pattern against the business handoff, not a blanket preference for instant synchronization or a particular middleware product.
Use approved integration identities and permissions suited to each interface. Agree the authentication approach, data exposure, logging policy and operational ownership with the teams responsible for both systems.
APIs, event capabilities, connectors and middleware have entitlement, capacity and maintenance constraints. Secrets remain in customer-approved management mechanisms, not support documents. Production access, destructive data operations and transaction activation require explicit customer authorization.
Discover the process and owners, design the interface and mapping contract, then build the agreed connections. Test both normal and exception paths, reconcile the results and prepare a controlled cutover. Confirm operational handover and named owners before accepting the integration as delivered.
Acceptance follows the business outcome: the correct customer and items are recognized, the intended order or status is processed, rejected work is actionable and retries do not silently create duplicates.
Review the agreed reconciliation and failure scenarios with both Salesforce and ERP owners. The result is scoped evidence for the delivered interfaces, not a guarantee that every future change, transaction volume or third-party outage is covered.
We assess integrations involving SAP, NetSuite, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics and Oracle, based on the actual editions, modules, interfaces and deployments involved. That is an assessment scope, not a promise that every version or custom module has a ready-made connector. Licensing, supported APIs and supplier responsibilities are confirmed before delivery.
The scope follows the business handoff and authoritative ownership. It can include agreed customer, contact, product, reference, order or status information. We define field direction and meaning rather than copying everything both ways. Pricing, inventory, tax and financial fields need the relevant business owners to approve their use.
No. Request/reply, asynchronous events, scheduled batches or external-data visibility can each fit different needs. We assess timing, volume, user experience, system limits and failure behavior before choosing a pattern. Instant, unlimited or perfectly consistent synchronization across all systems is not promised.
We design traceable identifiers, exception ownership, duplicate-submission checks and agreed retry or replay behavior for the included interfaces. Tests cover relevant rejected and partial outcomes. Reconciliation checks the business state in both systems; a successful call or last-sync timestamp is not enough to accept an order handoff.
No. The existing Odoo Salesforce connector remains a product-specific page. This service covers assessment and delivery of an agreed Salesforce-to-ERP integration, which may use a suitable connector, middleware or custom API approach. Product installation, configuration, compatibility and ongoing support are separate scope decisions.
Only if explicitly agreed. Connector or middleware licenses, API/event entitlements, hosting, monitoring, support coverage and third-party charges are identified as dependencies. Delivery includes the agreed operating handover; recurring care can be proposed separately through Salesforce managed services.
Tell us which ERP and Salesforce products you use, the handoffs that cause manual work and the information each team needs to trust. We will assess the interfaces, ownership and dependencies before proposing an integration scope and delivery plan.
